Q&A

Q: What song do you play on repeat?

A: U2's "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" - Live/Choir Version.

Q: What's the best way to start the day?

A: Taking my black lab for a long walk.

Q: What book impacted you the most?

A: The Splendid and the Vile by Erik Larson about Winston Churchill's first few years as PM. My mom lived in London during the war and the book brought to life what it was like living there during that time.

Q: What risks are worth taking?

A: I really don't think there are any risks not worth taking. If you never fail or make mistakes you don't learn from them.

Q: What do you spend the most time thinking about?

A: Family. Especially during this past year since I haven't seen them.

Q: How has your work evolved over the past few years?

A: I've shot a lot more personal work the past few years than I ever had previously. This has enabled me to work and collaborate with a wide variety of people (models, creatives, stylists, HMU, etc.) than I did, or could have, before. It has helped me change the way I approach a shoot - both in a collaborative way and how I incorporate my style. I have always been a good listener, but now can take others advice/comments and better incorporate that into a scene so that everyone is getting something from the shoot.

Q: One thing you can't show up to a shoot without - Besides a camera ;)

A: A small pouch of Jelly Beans.
